An infinite series of nils is, of course, nil. This means that a product cannot exist in continuous time. If production were a function of continuous time, the infinite series of "produced fragments" within the time slots would have to “add up” to equal the product. As this is clearly not the case, production cannot possibly be a function of time. Go back to the start.
